Wow, big girl jobs make you busy.

It's been so long since I've had the time to post on here.
I started my new "big girl" job on June 1, and I love it so much. I'm still in training, and I've met such wonderful people. I'm so used to working around alot of people that just aren't interested or passionate about what they do. Now, being around these people that genuinely care to understand and enjoy their job, it's really had a wonderful effect on my mood about corporate jobs! I'm never understood it. Even the people that aren't in training anymore say that they still love their job. It helps when everyone, including the boss, is upbeat about what they do. :)

The downside is that I have almost NO time to work on all my jewelry! My poor little Etsy site hasn't seen all my new stuff, because all the time I spend after work is making the jewerly, then it gets too dark to take pictures of it to put it online. I forget to do it the next day, too.
Hopefully I can play a little catch-up this weekend.

I have had so much fun learning (teaching myself, really.) how to make wire wrapped pendants and rings! It's really interesting, but also really hard. I need to find out how all the people that rock at wire wrapping make their stuff look so pristine. All mine kinda look crooked, but we'll just say they were intentionally a little bit messy to add to the beauty. hehehe.
A tornado thought about attacking us last night, but decided to attack before and after our apartment... phew. Scary sky popped out of nowhere. It was seriously partly cloudy, then 20 minutes later.... black. eeeeps.
But we're alive and well, and so is everyone that it hit. yay!

Here's some of my new stuff (bad pictures) that will be going up this weekend (after a nap).

Oh Redneck High School, how I do love them.

So within hours of posting that awesome jewelry set from my last post, it sold! I was happy and sad at the same time. :) :(
Oh well, I'm just going to have to make something like it to keep. hehe.
Tomorrow, (today actually) I will be working on my jewelry stuff all day! I'm so excited! I'm hoping for no interruptions. I tend to try to dig for other things to do so that they are done so I can focus. I think I have an ADD problem. ehh. oh well.
So I went to my little, not so little, bro's high school graduation today! I look like a dwarf next to him now. psh. Love him anyways. I'm so proud!
We're four years apart, so he graduated HS when I graduated college! sweetness.
So my dog needs a buddy to try and knock off the bed, peace.

Another Super Busy Week!

I have been going non-stop, and when I want to stop, there is always more stuff to do! But I couldn't be more happy about always having a to-do list. It makes everything more purposeful. :) It's like have a goal for each day, and it feels awesome to be able to cross everything off the list!
I have an addiction to spiral journals.
Oh, speaking ot Spiral, that's also the name of a diner that everyone and their mom should go eat at. There are 3 locations, 2 in Dallas, I think, and 1 one Fort Worth. It's a vegan diner (I'm not vegan, but I respect the point of view, and the discipline it takes to be one), and the food was AMAZING. It's reasonably priced too! I think if there were a lot more of these places around, a lot more people would choose to eat vegan. http://www.sprialdiner.com/
So I'm taking a stab at a new line of jewelry. I'm really excited about it. Vintage! It's a lot of tarnished chain, spiffy pendants and filigree beads. Filigree is the word of the day. Use it while talking to someone. See if they know any of this jeweler's jargon. :)
I also just made one of my first multi-strand necklaces, it's so pretty I almost don't want to sell it. :( It's called the 8th Wonder, and it's up on my Etsy shop right now! It took sooooo long to put all the beads on, but I think all the effort was totally worth it.

Here's some new pics with the Nikon. I'm slowly figuring out how to take pictures with it. Here's an adorable two week old colt names Amos.
The other picture is how sweet the zoom is on my camera. We were in nosebleeds behind third base! Fantanbulous.

The number 22

So I had the coolest birthday ever because I have the best friends and fiance!
My friends and I went out for the day (they were stalling so they could get my surprise to my apt) and we shopped to our heart's content. It was wonderful. Then when I got home, I was surprised with a brand new ferret cage! I was so so stoked. My friends know me well. :)
Brandon, my love, got me an awesome Nikon camera so I can take pictures for my little Etsy shop. This thing and I got to know each other today, his name is now Claude. (said all French-like)
I took all new pictures of my merchandise for my shop, and look 10000000 times more professional. I'm so proud. :)
I will also be taking a lot more pictures of friends and family now because it has a killer 10 MP.
Be jealous.
I spent almost the rest of the day making some more things for my showcase that is all day today! I'm so excited! I really hope I can sell of my pretties.
It's been really hard not to keep all the new things I'm making, because they are just so pretty!
Lovely day outside towards the end of the day, maybe I'll sit outside to make jewelry tomorrow.
Connect with nature, and the ducks in the pond behind my apartment, they have babies now!

Next Etsy Showcase is in the Earring section on May 21! Keep an eye out for master pieces!

Class of 2009

This weekend was the busiest weekend I've had in the longest time, but I could not have had any more fun! Saturday all day with Mr. Brandon, the love of my life. We were everywhere in the metroplex. First, leaving Lewisville to fix some weird rattle in his jeep (apparently playing on big rocks isn't good for it), Second to Coppell to find a Post Office that was open to mail all my wedding invitations. Yay for one more on the list of bazillion wedding things to do to be done. Then we went to Denton to sell back as many of our old textbooks as possible. Then we took whatever money we got and bought a bunch of UNT stuff. :)
We haven't had school spirit for four years and a week before we graduate we buy everything.
Then we drove to McKinney to visit his parents and slather them in UNT paraphenalia. We ate at Panera. It's gooood.
Then we headed back home because the pups called and said they couldn't figure out how to open the toilet seat lid to pee. No opposable thumbs, you see.
Then we headed to a surprise birthday party for my freshman roommate's husband in Colleyville. Oh that was the most fun ever! Mad Gab with 15 people and a frozen margarita machine. Sillyness to the max. My Kojak Sun? Figure that one out.
Then it rained only when we decided to head home. And just enough to make a clean car dirty. Pssh. Texas weather, it's killing me.
You don't even know the difficulty in trying to take pictures of recently made jewelry without natural light. Ugly. Craigslist ugly. ;)
Then today we had to get up so so early to see my future sister-in-law's babies get dedicated to their church. They are the cutest ever. I believe babies had a great understanding of how their face looks, but choose to try and get away with the silly ones just because "they're new at this".
Then we went to our Class of 2009 graduation party in Durant, Oklahoma. The best people in the world live in Durant. And they were all at our party. 6 of us has graduated from our respective schools. After the second proud parent gave their speech, we were all too teary eyed to continue making the rounds. And then there was CAKE. The best ever. The lady has her secret recipe guarded by two vicious Chihuahua poodle mixes. Don't cross them. They really know how to snap an Achille's heel clean off.
Well, today is my birthday too. I wish it could wait til tomorrow, I'm awful tired.

What a day!

Wow, for staying at home, I've done a lot today. All the animals got some cleaning, and the apartment got a really good once over.

I started my day off wonderfully with some Wii Yoga. That is like the best, most refreshing thing to do. Ever. It's given me the energy to keep going all day! It's been great. And I'm still ready for more.

I left the door to the balcony open all day, with it being 90 degrees outside, and it felt great. I broke a nice little sweat. :)

Song of the day: Hot by Avril Lavigne.

Mood: Ecstatic about everything, including my birthday on Monday and my graduation on May 16.

Woot woot for accomplishing a major milestone in life!

Loving Life.

Hey everyone, thought that I should start a blog because that's what cool people do. I think this is a great way to just keep track of life.

I love my animals, my man, and my hobbies.

Jewerly maker, animal lover and slave, and newly discovered WiiFit fanatic. Everything is just falling into place.

What a great first post.
